Established in her memory, this trust is dedicated to empowering individuals who, despite financial limitations, aspire to learn and grow. The Trust is a tribute to Ba’s legacy—a life dedicated to teaching and nurturing minds that may otherwise be deprived of the enriching opportunities education provides.
Born in pre-independent India on May 6, 1937, Ba’s story is one of resilience, determination, and a profound belief in the power of education. At a time when societal norms limited opportunities for girls’ education, she rose above these constraints, pursuing her studies with unwavering determination and ultimately earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her education, achieved against all odds, became a cornerstone not only in her own life but also in the growth and resilience of her marital family, especially during financially challenging times.
Ba went on to teach Sanskrit and Gujarati for over five decades, guiding and inspiring countless students. She was committed to imparting not only subject knowledge but also inspiring independence, pride, and self-worth—values she also deeply instilled in her own family and which continue to resonate through the generations. She raised her children to be independent and self-sustaining individuals, helping shape a legacy that extends beyond her own family and into the community.
